This was a fun one, made it for someone special. I used a string of chipped rock beads in various neutral tones, and a small bag of variegated glass beads, with a string of the bigger beads you see, light tan, with iridescent overtones and purple dots.
The different light makes them looks a little different, they have a LOT of color. They are strung on wire, 34" length, and a heavy duty toggle clasp.
I used gold wire to wrap two of the big beads, and did end wraps on the third bead, up toward the top of the picture below. I used gold jump rings to make a length of chain, connecting them to the rest of the necklace, just to break it up. And chain is very popular right now.
The necklace is really quite heavy, so I attached the wire-loops ends of each strand to the clasp with three small jump rings per. I'm experimenting to see if that will hold....
Small chandelier style earrings were requested, I twisted the frames out of gold wire, they are not exactly the same, I personally prefer that, I know some folks might not. On each loop I hung a different bead, They turned out very sparkle, and pretty, but not too overpowering; they needed to be somewhat small so they would just be accents for the necklace.
