Seeing Red

My favorite color is red. Period. I don't like to wear red clothes too much though, I like red as an accent color, because too much is, well....too much. But these red beads I found were the perfect amount of red, I actually used a few of these in another necklace, Wire Waterfalls.

So starting with the clasp, I used a length of silver chain on either side, both because I had a limited number of beads, and it just gives it a neat look. The chain I made with jump rings this time, I really like using lengths of pre-made chain too though. I also added a length of chain after the clasp and hung a red bead at the end, I have short hair and this adds some interest in the back of the necklace, which I think is always a really boring part of jewelry :D

This picture just highlights the beautiful deep color in these beads.

I used glass seed beads to space the sides, and then ran them all together in the front. This is actually the second effort on this one. The earrings are just hoop style with glass seed beads and two red beads on each.
