Wire Waterfalls

This one came about when I had a plain silver dress, and wanted statement necklace, something modern, and set with red, which just happens to be my favorite color. The earring beads are strung on silver head pins, and then I made my own hooks, using some large hoop earrings blanks, that I rebent, and added some crookedness in the front for texture. I enjoy making my own earring hooks, they look different, although I will say, it takes some practice to make two matching hooks :D

This is a closeup of the necklace, showing one of the individual bead wires I made. I made a three strand necklace, but instead of just stringing all of the beads only on the wire, I used a thicker stiffer wires to make "sculptures" that I strung on the wire, like waterfall extensions, hence the name ;D

And now the finished product, I loved it with the dress, and of course, I was guaranteed no one else would have anything like it :D I will say that it's a busy necklace, so I really can only wear it with very simple outfits, otherwise it can be a little overpowering.
