Gold and Rose

A 26" long necklace, made with stone, shell, and wire beads, and a few gold beads.

Up close to the shell and wire.

Wire coils higher up in the necklace, wrapped then twisted a bit for a little texture.

Handmade closures, gold wire.

Matching earrings of course :D

Yellow Sunshine!

Made this for someone, to go with a gray dress and yellow cardigan. I was surprised at how few pretty sunshine yellow beds I found. But had some yellow ribbon, and found gray crystal style beads with an iridescent sheen, and a cool clasp that I ended up using in the front of the necklace.

This is up close of the front of the necklace, the beads are strung onto a chain, with a thin weaving wire, and a few are put on with headpins.

I attached the ribbon by tying a knot, then making a loop of wire to attach to the chain, and then continued the wire in a twist around the knot and around the end. Don't think that puppy's falling off!

And of course, can't forget the earrings to match.

Ribbons and Chains

So I found this neat brushed silver chain, and I made two necklaces out of it, which was good value :D Also had some left over iridescent beads, and another length of these swirly metal wire beads....so, I cut and pasted and came up with this.

Up close of the beads and chain, and the bows of ribbon holding them all together. The colors of the beads will allow them to be worn with just about anything.

The whole thing from top to bottom :D

And of course you have to have earrings to go with it :D I kept them simple, the necklace is enough without overpowering it. Handmade french hooks, I formed them out of wire, then hammered them flat, they turned out cool, only problem being that the wire was too thick, I really have to work them into my earholes! Can be a little ouchy. Oops, trail and error!

Cerulean Blue

So, the name sounds so pretentious, doesn't it? But it's simply a certain shade of blue, and these beads have it! This is a floating two strands, with silver and "cerulean" blue beads, held in place with crimp beads. The beads on the end of the adjustable length clasp chain helps give the necklace some balance. It's just a pretty little bright necklace.

Earthy Sparkles

I don't think the name is that great either, but it was good enough for now :D These were made for a friend, and there is a large amount of wire in them. Brown wire, earthy blue seed beads and kind of bluish tan crystals. They are strung on wire dangles for the earrings, I made everything by hand on this set, except the beads of course :P

The clasp...

The pendant of the necklace...

And the entire necklace.
The diamond part of the name? Well, the crystals do glitz quite a bit in the light, giving an otherwise earthy type of jewelry just a hint of princess!!

Spring Blossoms

Had to have a necklace and earring set to match my Easter dress :D Used some pre-made chain, and two kinds of beads, green and pink, and headpins. Time-consuming, but just what I wanted, and it matched the dress perfectly!

Tried to put the beads on fairly randomly, do you know hard it is to make beads look like they've been put on randomly :D
And the earrings, just a smaller length of the link, and beads hung on them. They were just the right length, happily!

Window Shopping

I know, the name might be a little strange, but I was looking at these, and thinking, it's really like window shopping, just taking a very few items (or beads) and showcasing them.
I made two pairs of earrings to go with the necklace below, these are the first. Just some really striking bluegreen glass barrel beads, I bent a wire headpin around to give them a frame, and then hung that on multiple jump rings to give them a nice swing. And they are hung on hooks made from headpins. I find you can make a lot out of headpins, love them!

These too were put together on headpins, and they are hooked loosely so there is plenty of swing. More muted colors here, the interest point comes above the top bead where I twisted the headpin in a corkscrew before hooking it to the pre-made french wire.

And both of these go with this necklace. I'd gotten some cord for another project, which I discovered wouldn't work because the cord was too fat to fit through the beads...yes, well, that's how we learn. I also had these beads though, just a few, but they were so pretty, I wanted to use them.

In this close-up you can see better, I used headpins again, to make a wire hanger for each bead, which I then strung on the cord and knotted the cord to hold them in place. Side-note, when I made the clasps on the end, I made a know, then dripped a drop of bead fix glue on it....and then there was smoke and an awful chemically smell that made me cough horribly. Apparently there's something on the cord that reacted to whatever was in the glue. So, now I don't put my face right up to where I'm gluing, just in case :D Cough, wheeze... Anyway, another project!
